Remembering Grandma with a little bit of fun!

At my Grandma's grave site we were able to get a picture with my parents and their kids. Don't know how long it has been since we've done that! So here's a picture of Jefferey, The Mom, Me, JoAnna, and The Dad. Aah, we're so cute!
All of the grandsons were pall bearers and had purple carnation boutonnieres and the granddaughters all got long stemmed pink carnations.

After the funeral and luncheon, everyone went to Nola and Gordon's house to hang out and visit. I guess I needed a nap! (I didn't get much sleep while JoAnna and Jefferey were staying at my house!)

The kids thought it would be fun to wade around in this HUGE mud puddle!

Ryker carried around this cupcake for a while until he decided he could just finish the frosting then drop it in the mud puddle where no one would ever find it!

Pretty soon the wading around turned into full blown flopping around!

They really had a blast!

SHE WAS HERE!!

It's been 4 1/2 years, but JoAnna finally came home for a visit! Our grandma H. passed away last week so JoAnna bought a very expensive plane ticket, and headed home for the funeral and for a little visit with the family. It was really great to see her and spend some long overdue time with her. I took some amazing pictures of her for everyone's viewing pleasure! :o)

We took her back to the airport yesterday and she got back home just in time to go to the hockey rink! (Life is now back to normal for her!)
It was really great to get to see you Jo! We love you!

I took this video at the parents' house because it was so funny watching JoAnna try to get the zipper on her bag to close! I love how she keeps taking her pants out and rearranging them (in the same spot) and trying to zip it again! It's pretty entertaining!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ryker!

It's official.... He's growing up way too fast!
Today Ryker turned three! My super talented friend Annette and I made this cake for the big day!
(Thank You So Much Annette!)
Blowing out the candles was somewhat difficult for Ryker. He just couldn't get the last one to go out, so he put it out with his popsicle stick sword! (Of course!) Too funny!

Then he played with the edible swords off of the cake for a minute...... before he proceeded to eat them!

SWORDS!!! Oh Yeah!!!

These new b-day pj's glow in the dark. He was dancing in front of the mirror in the dark and it looked pretty awesome! Cute little dancing skeleton!

HELLO TURTLES!!!!
Happy 3rd birthday

CaMpInG iS gReAt! *and* TwO OtHeR pOsTs!

We love to go camping! So when we had the opportunity to go this weekend, we went! We left Saturday afternoon and got home today. When we were leaving our house on Saturday, it started to sprinkle and I was afraid we were going to have a wet trip, but that was all it was, just a little sprinkle! The rest of the time it was perfect camping weather! We had a great weekend!!! These big rocks were around the playground area. The boys loved climbing on them, of course!
How is it that the dirtier they are when they're camping, the cuter they look?!

I love this man!

Just sitting around and hanging out together!

Dudley got to come with us too- gotta take the whole family!

There was a really fun playground for the kids to play on. It was right across from our camp spot. The boys liked hanging out in the tube! There were two girls a couple of spots away from us that the boys played with while we were there.

These two spotted a spider. Corden stayed back while she smashed the bug! What a gentleman!

Me and the boys hanging out by the fire.

Stan and the boys hanging out by the fire.

Corden wanted to tell "spooky stories" by the campfire at night. He started us off and then we took turns telling our stories. He made sure we knew if our story was "pretty spooky", "kinda spooky", or "a little creepy"! It was pretty funny! We had so much fun! What a great camping trip!

A VERY RARE OCCASION!

We could hardly believe it!
An ice cream truck in our neck of the woods!!!
But that's exactly what happened Saturday morning!
We heard the music and looked out to see an ice cream truck turning into the loop across the highway from our house! So of course we had to run over there and get some treats! The kids were so excited! It had already started around the loop, so we waited for it to come back around. Corden started waving at the truck as it pulled up.
We all chose our treats and they were delicious!
Thank you ice cream truck for making the day of my three boys!!!

FaMiLy FuN!

We had a family party Friday night at Nola's house. It was a lot of fun. Ryker and Quinn were loving this bowl full of melting ice!
Really loving it! So cute!

This picture and the one below it are pictures of what happens when I try to get pictures with me in them. Yeah, that would be Ashley behind us making bunny ears!

Me and my mom trying to take a nice picture while my dear OLD dad is waiting with a cup over my head!

The boys were having a lot of fun with these big balls.

Now I'm not exactly sure how the yellow ball got stuck in the tree............

But the dads and grandpas sure had fun trying to get it out. First they tried kicking the other ball at the yellow one, but none of them had very good aim! The next idea was to throw the hoe at the ball to knock it out of the tree. As you can see, it got stuck in the tree also!

So they tried kicking the other ball at both things. Still, no luck! (I'm surprised that they didn't get this ball stuck in the tree too!) Don't know how they managed that!

So they decided to bring in the tractor! Stan got in the bucket,

and was finally able to get the ball and the hoe out of the tree! I love the adventures that always seem to happen at family parties!!

Ryker loves Turtles!

This kid cracks me up! He loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! If it was up to him, he would watch Ninja Turtle movies all day long! He always seems to have a sword or two with him, (notice the popsicle stick in his toes, yeah, that's a sword!) I recorded him singing along to the song on one of his videos. So funny, watch the use of his popsicle stick swords, he's mimicking what the Turtles are doing with their swords. Gotta love those Turtles!
