Blessing Day

Today was Trypten's blessing day.
My grandma, my Mom, and I made this blessing outfit for him.

And Stan's Mom made these cute little crocheted oxfords.

He looked so handsome!

The blessing was wonderful and the party afterwards was a blast! Thanks to all of our family members for coming out to share in this special day with us!

Not your average Baby Jesus...

4 years ago in December, when Ryker was 3 months old, our FHE group got together at Pam and Taylor's house and retold the Christmas story. All of the kids had parts to play as they acted out the story. Ryker played the part of Baby Jesus...
Not your average Baby Jesus...
Look at that out-of-control hair!
Corden was a sheep.

Kyler was a Wise Man.

They all did such a great job. It was the sweetest thing to watch!

Christmas morning (after opening presents) at our house this year...
Don't you just love Christmas!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas this year!

Glow Bug Baby...

So... Trypten has been experiencing some "technical difficulties".
He has been our little glow bug baby since Wednesday.

The doctor looked at him on Monday and then again on Wednesday. That's when we were sent to the hospital to get his bili-level checked. It spiked in the high risk level at 19.9 (not good at all). Even his tongue and gums were yellow! They had him start laying on the bili-blanket as soon as we got home from the hospital. We had to go back to the hospital again yesterday for another bili-level check and his level had come down to 17.8 - Yay! He will have to stay on the bili-blanket all day and night until we leave to go to his next hospital check on Saturday. Hopefully his levels will drop low enough that he can come off the light.

WARNING: ICKY INFO COMING UP...
He was having some issues peeing and especially pooping. The little guy was born on Wed. the 17th. He pooped the next day and the day after that. He did not poop again until yesterday (6 days later)! Best Thanksgiving ever, we've never been so excited to have to clean up a poopy diaper!

So this is how we've been spending much of our time. Since Trypten is hooked to the machine with a fairly short cord, the boys have been hanging out with him on my bed. I think he's enjoying all the special "entertainment" his big brothers have been providing him with. He's certainly not bored. :)
