creatively lazy cat... and c.s. canopy for Hayden

Usually when Maynerd gets in the garage, this old pillow is his napping place.
I walked out the door to get my camera out of the truck in the garage today and heard a meow right by my head. I looked over and there he was laying on the old crib mattress in the rafters. I guess he's decided to get more creative with his napping spots!

This is the car seat canopy that I made for Brandi's new baby boy, Hayden.

I'm glad I decided to make it early since he arrived yesterday, 3 1/2 weeks early!

Brooke, myself, and our Beehive girls made these car seat canopies last night at mutual.
I think they turned out really cute.

The polka dot one is for Teisha and Logan's new baby girl, McKenna. And the Animal one is for Rachel and Porter's soon to be baby boy. They are in our ward and are first time parents, (and will soon be first time parents!)

I hope they enjoy them, and wish them the best of luck in their new adventures in parenthood!

9 Year Old "Rockin' Roller Coaster" Birthday Boy!

Kyler turned 9 years old on Saturday. We took him and his brothers to the Monster Trucks that night for a great show! It was a blast. We were so glad that we were prepared with our ear plugs! :) Then yesterday we had a birthday party at the house. Thanks to all who came out for the big celebration! I helped my friend Annette decorate this Rockin' Roller Coaster cake for Kyler's Birthday Party. Rockin' Roller Coaster is a ride in Disney World. It was Kyler's FAVE!! Did I say that it was his fave? Well it was!!! So I thought he would really like a cake designed after it! You can see more of Annette's amazing cakes on her cake blog HERE.
It was a surprise for him. This was the first time he saw it. He was so surprised, he LOVED it!!

I can hardly believe he's 9! Time goes by so fast! It was so nice to have our family and friends over for the big party! There's nothing like a great party!! Happy Birthday to my 9 Year Old "Rockin' Roller Coaster" Birthday Boy, Kyler! We love you!

Easter Time Showers...

The Easter Bunny decided to put all of the goodies together this year. (Great Idea Easter Bunny!)
And of course he left his messy paw prints on the counter again this year! Naughty Rabbit!

This morning we woke up to yet another snow day!

So, we went out and played in it! Ryker wanted to build a snowman. So while the older boys were working on their snow fort, Ryker and I got to work. He wanted a carrot for the nose... we didn't have any carrots so he settled for a green spoon nose!

Here's the fort. After Ryker and I got done with his snowman, we helped Kyler and Corden finish up their fort.

Not exactly the April showers you think of when you say"April Showers" but that's okay, the boys liked it!

Decorating Easter Eggs...

What is this giant mess, you ask?

This, my friends, is how my family decorates Easter Eggs!

Grandpa and Grandma H. came out last night to decorate with us.

Ryker just couldn't wait- he had to have a boiled egg to eat. We figured it would be okay since there were 4 1/2 dozen of them!

The long necked alien bird is always a favorite!

Fishy...

The boys have been so excited about the new scuba masks that were purchased for the synchronized swimming routine. Kyler even wore one into the tub! He said it worked great! Silly boys!
