A busy week

This past week has been a pretty busy week. It was the week of the Jr. Miss Program out here. During the week I went to Tuesday and Thursday night rehearsals- while Stan stayed home with the boys, the big dinner the night before the program- while Stan stayed home with the boys, and the program last night- while Stan stayed home with the boys. What a great guy! I sure do love him!
The girls did great! I am so proud of all of them! They really took to heart the foundation of this program which is "Be Your Best Self." What a great group of girls!
I'm thinking Stan's probably so happy to not have to hear about Jr. Miss fonts, layouts, card making, etc...

3:30 IN THE AM...

Yesterday morning at 3:30 a.m I was awakened by the sound of very nearby chewing. When I looked over, Ryker was standing at the side of my bed, staring at me... and chewing on something. I asked him what he was eating... "Nemanems!"

Just Plain Fun!

This past Sunday after church we went out to Stan's parents house to visit. The boys love to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house and they love to play games with Grandma.
The dominoes were a big hit!

On Monday the boys didn't have school. Annette and I met up in town, did some shopping, took the kids to MCD's for lunch, and then went to the bounce house play place.

Danielle, McKenna and Carson (you can see his legs and feet in this picture - every time I turned the camera on him he would run away) met us at the bouncy place too.

The badger under the sink...

Is anyone else in love with the badger under their sink? Well, I was until...I noticed a huge puddle of water coming from under the kitchen sink. That's right, the badger under my sink had an injury.
It had a crack! And the leak was not a small one! It was pretty disgusting! After that, we weren't so much in love anymore.

I am now in love with my new badger under the sink!

Oh, by the way... Stan, thanks for installing my new badger, I love you too!

So for the last few days I've been busy working on getting the Junior Miss program laid out and ready to go to the print shop. I am happy to say that today I took it in and it's printed and ready to go!! I am so excited with how it turned out!
The boys have been so good while my focus has been on getting it done. However, I think they are excited to have Mom's attention back on them again... and I think Stan is probably ready to hear about something other than the program layout, background, fonts, etc.
I just want to say Thanks Dad for installing the fab program on my computer so that I could get the program done how I wanted it, and for answering questions for me when I didn't understand something.
Now it's back to my 24/7 Mom/Wife job again!

cookies and boxes

Okay, so here's the story...

At the boys' school, they sent home a note that said for $1.25 they would take a special Valentine's cookie to your child. Well, Annette and I were talking and we decided that we wanted our kids to have a special cookie, but we didn't want to pay $1.25 for it. So I made the boxes, and she made the cookies. Then we each decorated our own cookies. This is how the cookies turned out.
And these are the boxes for the cookies to go in.

MacKelle's box was the only girl box, so I put a bow on it to pretty it up for her.

We went down to the school together on Friday and MacKelle delivered Kyler, Corden and Trace's cookies to them in their classes. They were all so surprised and so excited! It was so much fun to watch, and it didn't cost $1.25 per cookie either! (And bonus*** there were cookies for everyone else to eat too!)
