paying forward my pay it forward

A little while back I did a pay it forward on my blog.

This is the craft that I decided to make for it. I thought they turned out so cute!
I put glitter on the letters on the white set so they would sparkle like snow in the sunlight.

So Nicole and Brittney, I hope you will enjoy your snow blocks and I hope you have fun spreading the love as you continue the pay it forward with your friends!

This is what we decided to make our Beehive class for Christmas this year. It is the theme for the youth for the the upcoming 2010 year. I thought it would be really fun to make them fun and funky for the girls so I used bright paper and tied a zebra striped ribbon around them.

1987 called... they want their belly shirt back!

Here's the story...

I needed to go over to my friend Annette's house.

When I went to grab Ryker so we could go, he didn't have a shirt on.

So, being the great mom that I am, I just threw his coat on and didn't worry about his shirtlessness. :)

Annette and I were sitting there chatting when Ryker walks around the corner like this.

So funny!

Guess next time I'd better make sure I get him a shirt!

Christmas Program 2009

The boys had their school Christmas program last week. They both did a really great job.Kyler and his class.

Our teachers helped out with the 12 Days of Christmas. These were the "9 ladies dancing"!

I've Never Seen Anything Like it!!

Never in my life have I been so scared as I was last night. This is not an understatement. Let me tell you how the story began... So, there was a birthday party for Corden and Kyler's friend Tyson last night. We were all hanging out doing the whole party thing when Jenny, Tyson's mom, gets a phone call telling her that Ike's (the gas station about 1/4 mile down the road) is on fire! We looked out the back door and you could see the flames rising up in the sky! I knew Stan would be down there fighting the fire and that worried me a bit! Pretty scary when you know your husband is fighting a fire- AT A GAS STATION! All of a sudden, there was a rumble noise and the house shook. I said to my friend Annette, "Did you feel that?" We turned and looked out the window..... AND THIS IS WHAT WE SAW!

It looked like an atomic bomb explosion or something!

I've never seen anything like it!

That was when I really lost it! I just knew that people had to have been seriously injured or even worse, and Stan was down there! As I sobbed in the bathroom, not knowing the fate of the love of my life, my friend Annette said a prayer for the safety of the emergency workers down at the fire.

After I composed myself, I called Stan's cell phone to see if he was okay.

He didn't answer.....

I left a message.

Then I called my parents, told them what was going on, and asked them to say a prayer for Stan and the other firefighters and emergency workers.

Next thing I knew, my parents had driven the 40 miles from their house to mine so that I wouldn't have to be alone.
By the time that my parents got there,
I had found out that somehow

not a single injury had occurred!
Not a single injury!
I couldn't believe it!
I was so excited- you have no idea! Three fuel tank explosions, one tanker truck full of fuel, and about two or three hours after it all began, our heroic volunteer firefighters had the fire out!
What a brave and amazing bunch of men we have in this community, who risk their lives voluntarily to keep everyone else safe!
Thanks to everyone who was praying for their safety.
Thank you Annette, Mom and Dad for being there when I needed you.

T- Rex Restaurant

While we were on our Disney World trip, we took the boys to the T-Rex Restaurant at Downtown Disney. We made our reservations before we left but kept it a surprise until we got to the restaurant- they were pretty excited!

This huge T-Rex and her babies are the first thing you see when you walk into the restaurant.

I loved the jellyfish lights- so awesome! The GIANT squid is over the bar area of the restaurant. It's tentacles moved up and down.

How many kids do you know that actually get to pet a real dinosaur?! They were so excited!

There was a Mommy mammoth and her baby right by our table. This is the mom...

and this is the cute baby! Got to pet it too! Lucky!

There was a humongous ice cave with dinosaur fossils and everything! I wonder if this made the other dinosaurs nervous!!

What an awesome place!! Every 15 minutes there was a meteor shower and all the prehistoric creatures made lots of noise and moved. What a great place to eat! We really had a great time! And the food was delish!

Stan ordered the Brontoburger- it was the biggest burger we'd ever seen! He had to take bites all over because there was no way he could have ever opened his mouth wide enough to eat it like a normal hamburger! Wish we had places like this around here to take the kids. It was so much fun!

10 HAPPY YEARS!!

Today Stan and I celebrate our 10th Anniversary!

What a great 10 years it has been! So in honor of our ten years together,

I am going to list 10 reasons why I love this man!

He is adorable.

He has a great sense of humor.

Reason # 3:

He works hard so I can stay home with the boys and just be Mom.

Reason # 4:

He lets me be me.

Reason # 5:

He is my soul mate.

He is my angel when I need one.

He is a great dad.

Reason # 8:

He makes me think I am the most beautiful woman on the planet (even though I know that I am most certainly not!)

He makes me SO happy.

He loves me back!

Character Dining and Rainforest Cafe

While we were at Disney World we were able to have breakfast at a place called Cape May Cafe. You have a fabulous breakfast buffet while the characters make their way around the restaurant so that the kids can say hi and get their pictures taken. The boys really liked it! Goofy and Kyler.

This is at Rainforest Cafe. The boys were excited to find Nemo, Nemo's dad, Dorie and other fish from Finding Nemo in there!!

All of the animals in the restaurant move and make noise. Every 15 minutes they all go nuts and make a lot of noise! It gets pretty loud! Totally fun!

I think Kyler would have taken this big guy home with us! He sure loves animals!

Corden was a little bit freaked out by this gigantic snake that was moving right above his head!

The seats at the bar section were all animal butts- the boys thought this was totally cool!

This is outside of the Rainforest Cafe, right before you enter the Animal Kingdom. What a fun place!
