Kyler's Piano Recital

Kyler started taking piano lessons a few months ago. His first recital was on May 17th. He did such a great job! He played two songs. The first was called Bear Dance and the second was called Mister Machine (his favorite.)

We are so proud of him for doing sucha great job and working so hard. What a great kid! Congrats to him on a job well done!



Now he gets to take a break for the summer. Then he will start up again next school year. Thank You PAM for being such a WONDERFUL teacher! We think you're the greatest piano teacher in the world!

My Chick Notebook

This is my latest project. My chick notebook.
I found the idea while blog hopping and loved it so much that I turned it into a mutual activity for my beehive girls. I wish I would have taken my camera last night so I could have taken pictures of all of their books. They all turned out so good!

This is what I chose for my embellishment... my name, pretty original huh!

And here's a close up of the stitching. Since my notebook is a chick notebook, I wanted the stitching to look like a little chick had walked down it.

Corden's Transformer Blanket

Well, I got it done!

One day late, but it's done!
I let Corden pick out the material that he wanted on the back side.
I was going to do a dark grey.
I'm so glad I let him choose because I really like the red.
Maybe I should let him pick material out more often!


I did the top Rag style and then tied the quilt in the center of each square with that furry yarn stuff.

So there it is.

Happy Birthday Corden and Stan!

Today is Stan and Corden's birthday! What did Stan do for his birthday? He got to go on a tow call up in the mountains! It was a fun one from the looks of the pictures that he showed me on the shop camera. Corden had his dinosaur birthday party this afternoon. He turned 6 years old today. He was so excited!

Everyone had a dinosaur egg that they had to dig through to find dinosaur bones to make a dinosaur statue.

They all had so much fun being little archaeologists!

Grandma and Grandpa H. came out to visit before the party started and brought gifts for Mom, Dad, and Corden.

Corden got a new sleep toy. It is the cutest softest buffalo I've ever seen! He has decided to name him Blinky. Thanks to all of Corden's friends for making this such a special day for him to remember! Happy birthday to my boys (The six year old, and the not so six year old!)

Corden's Birthday Treats

I made these beetle cupcakes for Corden's birthday treats for his class. I think they turned out pretty good. Wish I would have had some mini oreos that I could have cut in half for the heads, but I didn't, so I made do with black licorice nibs instead.

Frosted- but not good enough yet!

Decorated- much better! Ryker got ahold of the head and bit off a chunk of the neck, so this dino has a shorter neck than I had originally planned! I'm just glad he bit off the neck and not the face! Phew!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Can you believe this cake! My amazing friend Annette made this for me for my birthday today! This girl can seriously make the cutest cakes ever!!

Even the inside of the cake was adorable! Snap Annette, you're awesome! Thank You so much for the ULTRA FABULOUS cake!!!

MacKelle and Trace got to come over and hang out for a couple of hours while their Mom and Dad were at meetings tonight. It was time for my kids to get ready for bed so I told Kyler to go and brush his teeth. I heard MacKelle giggling and looked over to see what was so funny! This video is just a little bit of the silliness. I was trying so hard not to laugh. Hope this little video brightens your day!
