Family Photo Sesh

We had Geri at Orchid Photograpy take our family pics this winter for us.
She really did a great job capturing the moments that make us who we are...
and the ones that make it seem like we have it all together!
*We may not have it all together,
but together we have it all!*
Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks so much Geri!
You did an amazing job!

catch up pics

We went to my Grandma O.'s house this past Thanksgiving.
Well,... my Dad LOVES trains...
and since his birthday was the day after Thanksgiving,
I had my friend Annette make this steam engine cake for him.
See her amazing cake blog HERE.
She did an amazing job!
It looked great and tasted great too!
His favorite flavor is caramel so she made a caramel frosting and put it between the layers- SO GOOD!
I think we really surprised him! :)

A couple of weeks before Christmas I was able to watch my brother, Jefferey's son Jack while he worked in town and his wife, Victoria had her finals.

We had so much fun!
He is such a cutie and such a good baby.
They moved about 4 hours away last March so we don't get to see them very often.
It was really nice to be able to visit and hang out.

Love this little cutie!

He got stuck dancing with a boy!

(You will need to scroll down and pause my playlist music if you don't want it playing over the music in this video.)

This is from Corden's Christmas program last year. I couldn't find out where the video was at on my computer- so sad, but... I finally found it, today! So here it is for you to see. There weren't enough girls, so Corden and his friend Ty had to dance together. I don't think he cared, in fact he was probably happier dancing with his friend so he didn't have to dance with A GIRL!! The theme for the program was The Nutcracker. Corden is on the far right.

Sledding in the New Year

I can't believe it's already 2010! Hope everyone had a great time ringing in the New Year! We were sledding in the New Year! It snowed all morning long and the conditions were perfect! So we called Trace and MacKelle to see if they wanted to go with us. We tied the sleds behind the four wheeler and off we went. The kids had so much fun! Left sled front- Trace
Left sled back- Corden
Right sled front- Ryker
Right sled middle- MacKelle
Right sled back- Kyler

Happy 2010 everyone!!!

Christmas pics

Santa came to our ward Christmas party and the kids were so excited to tell him what they wanted! I don't think anyone else sat on Santa's lap longer than Corden. When we told him he needed to let the other kids have a turn, he said, "just two more things!" So funny!
Ryker wanted Transformers and Ninja Turtles... (what else!)

And Kyler wanted a nerf dart shooter.

This is Makay. I had to take his picture. He made sure that he had his list all ready for Santa! Hilarious!

Getting Santa's goodies ready. The boys thought Santa would like a break from all the cookies and milk.......

so they left him some peppermint hot chocolate and what you see on the plate. So thoughtful.

Grandma and Grandpa H. came out on Christmas Eve and stayed the night for Christmas. The original plan was for Gma and Gpa to sleep in Kyler's room, Corden to sleep in his room, Ryker to sleep in his room, and Kyler to sleep on the queen air mattress in Ryker's room. The boys had other plans!

Guess Santa liked his "not so traditional" goodies!

Waiting patiently with Grandpa for the start of the Christmas morning chaos.

All the stockings were hung by the chim... all the stockings were hung.

Isn't that Santa just the greatest ever!

Transformer stuff for Ryker. Imagine that!

Kyler's new airplane bedspread. Think he liked it?!?!

JoAnna made cute neck pillow creatures for the boys. They really like them.

We were so glad that Grandma and Grandpa came out and spent Christmas with us. In this picture, Gpa is showing Kyler how to do the wood puzzle that he made for him and Gma is "trying" to help Corden figure out how to transform his new transformer. What a great Christmas!
