Water Day Fun!

Finally the weather is warm enough to play in the water! So the boys invited Trace, Shaylee, Bellamy, Jaya and Rawley over to enjoy it with them! Kyler rippin it up!

Bellamy heading down the slip-n-slide!

Corden seeing if his Wal-mart bag would make him slide faster!

Trace tearing it up!

We always end up sticking the slide over the edge of the pool, (makes it so much more fun)!

Check out that line for the slide! It's just like a water park!

WoOo HoOo! Ryker couldn't get enough!

Kyler always has to have his projects. This was his "sun tanning" spot. The kids thought it was the greatest thing! What a perfect day for Water Fun! Hopefully we will keep getting more days like this for a while!

GIRLS CAMP

This week was girls camp and it was so much fun! The girls learned how to make emergency shelters with a tarp, some twine and trees. I can't believe these two got in there- that tarp smelled really bad!
Brianna was one of our ward camp directors. She introduced us to "Hiney Writing"! Something I will never forget! SO funny!

This is Mary. SHe was our other camp director. She introduced us to " The Snorts"! Also something that I will never forget!

This was one of the best water fights that I have ever had!

We made magnet boards for our stake craft.

Our "Matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match" skit was INCREDIBLE! (Of course)

The girls are trying to see how many of them can cram on one little carpet mat here. It was really fun to watch!

Jenny and Brittney came up Thursday and brought up ice cream, root beer and doughnuts. We used some of the dry ice that was keeping the ice cream frozen to make a couple of bombs. This big one was SUPER LOUD!

Here we are waiting for it to explode. It took a few minutes before it went boom!

These are the pieces that were left after it went boom! What a great week at girls camp! It really was a "BLAST"!

Rapelling With My Fellow Leaders!

We always go rapelling the day after hikes up at girls camp. I'm so happy that they let the leaders do it too! I love it!
Mary, Brittney, Brianna, Jenny and Me are the leaders from our ward that came down the rock. We're pretty much "ROCK"STARS now!
Does this harness make my butt look big?-- Don't answer that!

Mary was hillarious coming down the rock! The screams started at the top and didn't stop until she touched down at the bottom. It was great!

Brianna coming down the rock!

Brittney coming down the rock!

Jenny coming down the rock- Woo Hoo!
WHAT A RUSH!!!!

Ryker's NEW-ish Chair

So my mom gave me this little chair a few years ago and I re-covered it, only to have our new puppy at the time bite a hole in the arm of it three days later! Frustrating!!! So since then we have been living with it like that! It has been in Rykers room (hiding the hole from being seen) since we moved into this house! I finally decided that I had better re-cover it again. (Before Ryker got too big to sit in it!)Here are all the pieces of micro fiber that I cut out to make this into a chair. Doesn't look too promising now does it?!
Here is the before of the un-covered chair. (Notice the big chunk taken out of the arm!)

Back shot for your viewing pleasure!

And here's the finished product!

Ryker is going to have the almost best seat in the family room! (We all know that Stan's recliner is the most comfy!)

Girls Camp Lounge Pants

Next week is girls camp and I just couldn't go without making a comfy pair of lounge pants to wear!
I let the boys help me pick out the material, (which is why there are crazy little creatures all over them!)

First Time Fondant

Tonight there is going to be a cake auction at our summer reading program party. I signed up to bring a cake and thought it would be fun to try fondant for the first time. This is what I ended up with. Not bad for my first time with the crazy stuff!
I really had fun making this. I can't wait until the next time I need to make a cake!

ps* Thanks Annette for helping me make the fondant and for all your great tips!
