Kyler had his first pinewood derby last night. 
Stan helped him make his wicked awesome car.
He called it "the dark bolt."
All the boys recieved a giant Symphony bar with an award for their car. Kyler's award was for the "shiniest paint job!" (Which was fitting, since it was painted in the paint booth at the shop with the same equipment that paints all the real cars!)
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa H. for coming out to watch with us! It was a fun night!

How fun!! I remember when they had the one for the guys last year and Rusty was so excited! Such a guy thing, but its still fun even for us "girls" :) Hey I think we should have a Pinewood Derby :) :) Fun stuff!
How fun! I think that has got to be the best part about scouts! That is an AWESOME car! It looks Super fast!

our derby is a week from saturday and i'm dreading it! i always worry about kids being sad if they lose. hopefully ours will go as well as it sounds like your's did.
